The Death Star is a fictional massive space station and superweapon featured in the Star Wars space-opera franchise. Constructed by the autocratic Galactic Empire, the Death Star is capable of obliterating entire planets, and serves to enforce the Empire’s reign of terror. It appears as a hundreds of kilometers wide mobile space station that has the shape of a spherical moon or planetoid.

Darth Sidious

Sheev Palpatine and also simply known as the Emperor, was a male human Dark Lord of the Sith and Emperor of the Galactic Empire, with his reign lasting from 19 BBY to 4 ABY. Rising to power in the Galactic Senate as the senator of Naboo, the secretive Sith Lord cultivated two identities, Sidious and Palpatine, using both to further his political career and deceive his way into accomplishing his goal. He orchestrated the fall of the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order through the Clone Wars, and then established his reign over the galaxy which lasted until his death at the Battle of Endor.

Maul was a Force-sensitive Dathomirian Zabrak male who was apprenticed to the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, and after his defeat by the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, he established himself as a crime lord during the Clone Wars and the Imperial Era. The renegade Sith Lord was a formidable warrior, driven by hatred against the Jedi and his former Sith Master.

Born in 54 BBY during the time of the Galactic Republic, Maul was a son of Mother Talzin, who led the Nightsisters of Dathomir.

Taken as a child by Darth Sidious, Darth Maul was molded into a deadly Dark Lord of the Sith, growing in hatred of the Jedi Knights who served the Republic and the light side of the Force—while the Jedi Order had deemed the Sith extinct for a thousand years, Maul’s power-hungry master set his Grand Plan into motion with the Trade Federation’s Invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY.
